It is the faculty and staff at CCA which creates the essence of the school. It is through the real-life examples of these men and women that children see and seek Christ-like behavior.

The average tenure of our faculty is over 14 years. We have a highly qualified staff that is certified through the Association of Christian Schools International. The teachers strive daily to teach the whole child and meet each child's individual needs.

Rodney Knox has served as the Headmaster of Creekside Christian Academy since August of 2007. Before coming to CCA, he had 12 years of experience in administration and coaching with both private & public institutions, college & high school, in the states of Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia.
Mr. Knox holds a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Master of Science Education from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee.

He and his wife, Angela, have been married since 2004 and have 4 children, Miranda, Cameron, Bo and Brooke. Angela graduated from Bible Baptist Christian School in McDonough, GA. She also has a degree in Education from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida.

Mr. Knox enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball and cheering for the Creekside Cougars. His favorite verse is Psalm 19:14.
Jeremy Blackstock was born and raised in Augusta, GA. He graduated from Augusta Christian Schools in 1997 and attended and graduated from Maranatha Baptist College in Wisconsin in 2002 with a degree in History Education. He is currently working on his Masters degree in Education from Liberty University.  He and his wife, Jennifer, have 2 children, Joshua and Janelle.
As the former Athletic Director and Dean of Discipline for Middle School, Mr. Blackstock managed eleven different sports teams with close to twenty coaches. He helped to establish the guidelines that our Athletic Department would follow as we joined the Independent Christian Schools of Georgia and Alabama (ICSGA). As the school and athletic department began to grow, he was able to spearhead the transition from the ICSGA to the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA).  He also oversaw the discipline matters of over 150 students, staying in constant communication with teachers and parents throughout each situation, thus allowing him to establish relationships in the process. He has maintained a teaching load while as an administrator which has allowed him to stay current on teaching techniques and curriculum and has aided him in the transition to the academic side of administration.

Patti Collier has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from West Georgia College.

She began her career in the public school system where she taught for seven years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. During this time Mrs. Collier worked part time as Preschool Director at a local church. She came to teach at Creekside in 1999.  Prior to becoming principal of the elementary school in 2009 she taught fifth grade.

Mrs. Collier and her family are members of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro where she works with the youth and leads a high school girl’s discipleship group. She is married to Al Collier and has two sons and a daughter. All three of her children have attended Creekside Christian Academy.
Mrs. Shirley has nine years of experience teaching preschool and has been at CCA since 2007.  She served as the school Media Specialist for four years in addition to teaching a Pre-K4 class and was promoted to the Preschool Principal in 2012.  Mrs. Shirley has a heart for preschool children which is evident as she remains hands on in the classrooms, teaching weekly lessons and hosting story time for the children.
She graduated from Clayton State University with a B.B.A. in Business Management.  She has also received preschool teacher training from Pensacola Christian College.

Dawn Shirley was saved at the age of 11. Her life verse is Phil 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  Mr. and Mrs. Shirley and family are members of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle in Jonesboro.   Mrs. Shirley's two children, Mackenzie and Mason,  attend Creekside.
