Fine Arts

It is a known fact, that students who indulge in the arts increase their learning capacity. Starting from the very youngest of our students, the arts program is intended to be enriching, rewarding and integral to our curriculum. Visual arts are a special time for our younger children to explore their natural creative ability. Guided by our wonderful art instructor, students are introduced to exciting and challenging projects. Elements and principles of art, as well as art appreciation are part of the curriculum. Each project stimulates their motor skills, use of color, shape and composition.
Many of the same principles gained in younger years are applied throughout the lower and middle school children. Along with creative ideas and experiences, students are introduced to abstract art and to the study of anatomy and perspective. Creekside students are encouraged to develop ideas and create more independently at this level. Part of the Creekside Christian Academy experience is for everyone to develop their special interest and skills through a wide range of extracurricular activities. Whether it is in the visual arts, music, or athletics, these activities enable students to broaden their leadership capabilities, explore their creativity, and utilize their academic and athletic talent. |
